A month long text and audio blog about the creation of 28 new pieces of "art music" in the twenty-eight days of February by composer & conductor Robert Ian Winstin.
RObert Cathy here - I've listened to them all - you really DO need to put this out on a CD right after the month ends...These are all so much fun.
ReplyDeleteLove it. Reminds me of the Bach I used to learn as a conservatory student. Excellent work. Love the whole idea. Just ordered Taliban Dances on amazon and can hardly wait for it.
ReplyDeleteBlues tomorrow? Excellent.
Drat! I was too sleepy this morning to be the first. Like the new one a lot. Impressive finger work. Looking forward to monday's piece.
ReplyDeleteThis thing really builds up some speed. Not sure if my fingers could do it anymore and you're only fifty. Some of us over fifty folks are jealous.
ReplyDelete:/)
keep this going. It is outstanding.

Enjoyed the rush of notes and the unusual sounds. Tell me, is this piece tonal or non?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't really matter since I liked it just the same.

I'm a professor of music comp. I'd like to feature this blog in my classroom so that my students can discuss the pieces. I need to know if you have any objections to us printing multiple copies of the score for our in-classroom use only.
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent and very creative blog and I and my students are looking forward to the entire month.
I am going to contact you through your website with my contact information.
Thanks for doing this blog.
