A month long text and audio blog about the creation of 28 new pieces of "art music" in the twenty-eight days of February by composer & conductor Robert Ian Winstin.
Amazing! Not only a fascinating piece but wonderfully played!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteSuggested titles:
I Hear It Ringing: Where is my phone?
What Do You Mean, "Company's coming in five minutes?"
Runaway Hamster
Love it!
LOL ... The first two I can relate to, but "Runaway Hamster?"
ReplyDeleteLOL - I love that title and I may use it!
Thanks,
Robert
Each piece is so different - I am always delighted with the variety. Can't wait for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteRobert,
ReplyDeleteThis is clearly an étude: how about, "Étude with an Attitude". I like titles that bow to tradition but show the personality of the composer. However I must admit, I like "Runaway Hamster". You can't go wrong with little furry critters. Nice workout in this piece. It keeps you off kilter and wondering what's next. Love the end. Now, you are free to jibe me with off kilter remarks. It's great this blog is getting such a large following. It creates a wonderful forum for exploring what we do everyday. Keep on keeping on as they used to say in the seventies. Okay, I was only eight when 1970 hit. But, you get my gist. Gist keep doing what you're doing. (The following pun was brought to you by the City of Modesto, CA).
Best,
Don
Wow! Fabulous stuff. I especially love the piano materials. Tremendous music.
