"Blues Etude #1"

"Blues Etude #1" - the eighth installment in the "28 in Twenty-Eight" blog series is a fun cross between a blues pattern and a Chopin 'Etude.'

  2. Wonderful! Yet again, this may be the best way to start my day. I am really sorry that February is only 28 days!

So, now, I'm going to try and learn to play this one. Not sure if I can get my left hand to do all of that.

    Thanks!

  3. That was pretty good. It's probably my favorite so far. It has a kind of jazz, funk, and gospel overtone combined into one. I would love to see it developed into a complete work.

  4. Yeah, baby! Are you sure you are a classical cat? You sound awfully jazzy to be un-hip!

    :-)

Very cool and a lot of fun. I'll never play it 'cause I can't play like that, but I'll be listening up a storm.

  5. Hey! Thanks a bunch for the nice comments. I'm having a great time with this blog and I am glad that there are people out there listening. Thanks again!

Tomorrow is a bit of a change in pace. I'm re-recording and restructuring one of my operas.

I'll be uploading a baritone aria from that opera. But - have no fear - it's in English!
