A month long text and audio blog about the creation of 28 new pieces of "art music" in the twenty-eight days of February by composer & conductor Robert Ian Winstin.
What a fantastic idea! I do not know that much about the piano, except how to play chop sticks, however, having a psychology background, I do understand the complexity of switching the brain from right to left. Well done and the piece went well with my cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteI thought you said it was dissonant! I found it very interesting if not pleasing.

The understanding of harmony is in balance of BOTH consonance and dissonance. Harmony does not exist in all consonance, or all dissonce. Balancing is tricky.
ReplyDeleteRobert,
ReplyDeleteI love the "cat & mouse" quality of the melodic utterances. The humor comes through crystal clear. You know I'm a big fan of "bringing on the funny". I like the title and I think you pulled off your goal with aplomb - or is that a plum. Well, anyway I really like all kinds of fruits: even of the composer variety. Kidding! Good work and keep it up.

Delightful, perfect for Groundhog Day...looking forward to the next 26.
